Welcome
You might be asking yourself, "what can I do differently to be more productive? "
You might be thinking how did things get so bad?
You might be asking yourself, "why doesn't anyone see that I need help?"

Or are you telling others that, "You are fed up with your life being such a mess!".

If this is the case don't give up! If you are truly ready to admit that you have an organizational problem and that you need help implementing a real lasting change in your life, you have come to the right place.

Everyone is different, what works for some might not work for you. My job is to help you find what will work for you, help you recognize that changes can be made and help you implement those changes. Every session is totally personalized to meet your needs.

The Pareto Rule or 80/20 Rule

Vilfredo Pareto, 1848-1923

Pareto was a well known mathematician, engineer and later down the road he became an economist. His concept of disproportion has stood the test of time. His 80/20 rule did not become popular until after his death, when in the 1930’s, the idea was resurrected and put to use in the business world. He came up with this principle in 1906, after observing that 80% of the wealth in Italy was held by 20% of the people. He went on later to observe that 80% of the peas from his garden were produced by 20% of the peapod's. Today his principle is still a very popular tool in helping people make decisions. There is also a charting method that goes along with this principle to help individuals define priorities, redefine commitments, mobilize work forces and solve problems. There are many other applications as well.
Now you are asking, “What dose this have to do with your well-being?”  Well, if you are able to use his philosophy, you will be better prepared to mange yourself and others, deal with problems and realize that you are appreciated even when no one acknowledges it.

I know you think I am taking a rather large leap, but let’s apply it:
* If you realize that 80% of the work accomplished this year will be done by 20% of your staff, you are more apt to be patient when someone didn’t follow through. (You knew better)

* If you realize that 80% of the problems are caused by 20% of the people, you will gain perspective on how best to deal with the problem. (They are the minority)

* If you realize that only 20% of the people around you will tell you that you are doing a good job you are better able to be relaxed and not worry about the other 80%. (They just keep forgetting to tell you)

* If you keep in mind that 80% of your time will be devoted to 20% of your work, you will be able to remain calm and less apt to get overwhelmed knowing that you could be more productive with your time. (This to shall pass)

All of these tools make for better leaders. So for better leadership mental health, I recommend you apply this 80/20 rule to your tools of management. As a result, you will be free to give of yourself as you would like.

Have you tried unsuccessfully to wade through the stream that is your life
and have now resorted to making a path to clime over the top,
in hopes that all the other crap just ends up downstream? :)
